How Avery overcame a virus, tummy pain, bloating and diarrhea

Avery’s digestive system hadn’t been quite right since she had been to the Caribbean on holiday.

Her mom contacted us to see whether we might be able to help because Avery was suffering with tummy and abdominal pain, and a lot of bloating.

She was also passing loose stools and diarrhoea.

As we most often do in these cases, we ran a home stool test to see whether any “bad bugs” such as parasites or bacteria had gotten into Avery’s digestive system, triggering her symptoms.

Interestingly, as you can see below, the stool test showed that Avery had picked up a virus (called Norovirus), presumably (not 100% necessarily) while she had been in the Caribbean.

Norovirus is well-known for causing acute 24-48-hour sickness and diarrhoea outbreaks in communities, but it is less well-known as a cause of chronic, ongoing symptoms.

In addition to the Norovirus, the stool test also revealed excessive levels of certain bacteria, namely Bacillus, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus as some Citrobacter and Klebsiella, which should not really be present.

All these bacteria can potentially cause trouble in the digestive tract.

Action Steps

Avery followed a gluten-free diet with low sugar and dairy product intake, and we got to work on removing the “bad” virus and bacteria from her system.

We used some specific antiviral herbs/substances initially, and then a general anti-microbial protocol.

Avery’s symptoms improved, but not completely. Her loose stools and diarrhoea firmed up into normal bowel movements, but she still had some digestive pain and bloating.

Because the symptoms had not completely gone away, we decided to run another stool test to see what still needed to be done.

You can see from the results that the Norovirus had completely gone away, but a parasite called Giardia showed up, albeit in very small amounts.

You can also see in the second snippet, below, that the bacterial levels had mostly improved:

  • Staphyloccocus dramatically reduced
  • Streptococcus completely gone
  • Citrobacter completely gone
  • Klebsiella completely gone

However, the Bacillus bacteria were still there.

We decided to use a further antimicrobial protocol and this time added in some broad-spectrum probiotics.

Within a further 4-6 weeks, Avery’s symptoms had completely gone.

Are you or your family fed up with unexplained and ongoing symptoms?

Nobody, including you and your family, needs to put up with digestive symptoms or other related problems such as low energy, skin problems, low moods, anxiety and so forth.

It just takes the right testing and a little bit of commitment to overcome the symptoms and feel well again.

Sometimes the solution is relatively easy, and other occasions, it may be slightly more tricky.

Avery’s case fell somewhere in between. The initial protocols worked quite well, but they didn’t quite get the job done completely.

The second protocol, which was designed following her re-test, absolutely did the job and she became symptom-free.

Unfortunately, many people limp on with ongoing symptoms without realising that a wide range of incredible tools are available to help.

It’s not uncommon for some of our clients to have been suffering with symptoms for years or even decades!

A home stool test is one of the tools that can help you.

It’s quick and easy to do––you don’t even need to visit a clinic.

A test kit is sent to your home, you complete a sample in privacy, and send it back to the lab for analysis.

The private labs really look at the stool sample with detail––way more detail than standard medical testing––and are able to find important information about your digestion that would otherwise be missed.

It is the breadth of information that so often makes the difference to people’s health outcome.

You have to know what you’re up against so you can target the treatment protocols with laser-focus and efficiency.

So, if you’re bored of having a bunch of unexplained symptoms and you just want some answers, here’s how we can help.
