How David beat 15 years of acid reflux and digestive problems

David’s is a familiar story…

…endless doctor appointments and tests, with little improvement to his symptoms.

This time though, you get to hear the story first hand.

And it just goes to show, getting better is something you have to work at – there’s no magic wand.

Here’s his story:

“My name is David Adkison and I recently contacted David Hompes to see if he could help me with my decade long gastrointestinal problem.

I have been battling acid reflux for the last 15 years I know, and under a Doctor’s care for the last ten of those.

I underwent an endoscopy and colonoscopy when I first started seeing the doctor. They did no other tests and then placed me on various PPI’s (proton pump inhibitors).

Their reasoning was that I was making to much acid and the muscle at the top of my stomach was slightly loose.

Well as long as I was taking the medicine, I did OK. I could eat anything I wanted and not have much of a problem (some foods still bothered me though).

After about ten years of this I decided to go to a Nutritionalist Doctor.

I had merely spoken with them and they decided that I had H pylori. I took three months of their medicine with no changes in my condition.

The Doctor decided that I should take a multitude of meds to, in his words, “have a shotgun approach” and surely we would get to the problem sooner or later.

That did not sound good to me. I had decided I had dealt with this condition long enough.

I found David Hompes website by searching for an H pylori cure. (Thinking that this is what I had due to the symptoms and the Nutritionalists diagnosis.)

I spoke with David and decided that his method of diagnosis and treatment was much more precise and would come much closer to curing me than any other treatment I had found.

I had no indication of H pylori (which I had been taking medicine for for the last three months). But there were numerous other conditions that was causing my problem.

Jack was very professional. On my program, we spoke every other week. I could tell Jack knew what he was talking about, I could sense that he was helping me because that what he likes to do, and not just in this for the money.

We took it step by step, removing the bad things, healing the stomach and replenishing what I was lacking.

Now, don’t get me wrong and think that this program is as simple as taking some meds and that will do it.

No, it takes some work. I did have to change my diet somewhat and decide whether or not I really wanted to get well or just go through another attempt of healing and hope for the best with only a half hearted effort.

I committed to do my best and get well.

After eight months under the care of David and Jack, I felt 100% better.

I no longer take any acid reflux medication, as well as have been cured of a few other things that I did not realize had anything to do with my digestive tract.

I am no longer under the care of David Hompes, but still rely on his teachings to remain 100% free of any digestive medications.

Thanks David and Jack,

Best Wishes,

David Adkison

How we helped David, step-by-step

When David contacted us, he was struggling with these symptoms:

  • Acid reflux (for 15 years)
  • Bloating
  • Gas
  • Belching
  • Headaches
  • Mild fatigue

These kinds of symptoms are very common and often have identifiable causes.

We set about finding those causes.

David’s Stool test results

As with many of our clients, David ran a comprehensive stool test.

His results revealed:

  • Very low good bugs (probiotics)
  • Yeast and fungal overgrowth
  • Gluten intolerance
  • He was not digesting fats properly

Also, look how low David’s “good bug” levels are (the further to the left the black dots are, the lower the good bugs).

Bifidobacter is supposed to be one of the highest, yet on his test result it’s actually the lowest:

Here are the yeast/fungal and parasite findings:

And here is his immunology profile, indicating a high level of reactivity to gliadin (this shows likely gluten sensitivity).

Finally, see how David’s triglycerides, LCFAs and total fat are all elevated, which shows he’s not digesting food very well at all:

To help rectify this, specific dietary changes were recommended, especially a gluten-free diet.

In addition, a series customized 30-day supplement protocols were designed to help David:

  • Eliminate his yeast and fungal overgrowth
  • Digest his food more effectively
  • Reduce inflammation in his GI tract

Additional labwork to check nutrient status, detoxification and thyroid health

Additional labwork revealed that David’s thyroid hormones were not balanced.

He was a little low in the most active thyroid hormone, T3.

ZRT thyroid test with low T3

The thyroid is really important for energy production in the body.

Unfortunately, mainstream medicine generally only tests for TSH and sometimes T4.

You can see that David’s TSH and T4 are ok, but it’s the T3 that indicates a problem with thyroid hormones.

We also discovered through an organic acids test that David needed some additional nutrients, including Coenzyme Q10 and glycine.

Thyroid hormone and co-Q10 are two key ingredients for energy production in all cells of the body, so it’s no surprise he was feeling a little low on energy.

Appropriate protocols to improve David’s T3 level, coenzyme Q10 and detoxification function were given and the rest is history, so they say.

Would you like to get started?

Are you struggling along on the symptom merry-go-round without really getting any answers?

Would you like to follow a similar programme to the one that helped David?

Well, if you would, I can’t emphasize enough how simple this work can be!

Forget the complex physiology –  leave it to us while you focus on simply following the recommendations we provide.

It’s all about finding the bad stuff in your body and getting rid of it, then finding what’s missing and putting it back.

Sure, it may take some time and commitment to change your food intake, get to bed a little earlier, move your body, take some supplements, etc.

But if you’re committed to getting better, we have the know-how and experience to support you through the process.

You don’t have to put up with symptoms in what I call the Seven Areas of Health:

  • Digestion
  • Mood
  • Energy
  • Sleep
  • Chronic pain
  • Sex/reproduction
  • Skin/hair/nails

In my opinion, the best place to get started is by running a comprehensive stool test.

Don’t forget, they are done in the privacy of your own home – you just send of a sample in the packaging provided.

What’s more, if it comes back blank, you get a full refund.

You can arrange a test, or find out more about one, here.

Best

Dave.
