Why you get bloated and what to do about it

Part one – a quick introduction

Summary

  • Bloating /  abdominal distention / feeling six months pregnant for no apparent reason can be truly annoying, uncomfortable, and embarrassing.
  • The cause might be very simple, or it may be more complex.
  • Different people typically have different underlying causes.
  • These causes are most often too much “bad stuff” being in the digestive tract, combined with too little “good stuff.”
  • Bad stuff includes food, bugs, toxins
  • Good stuff includes foods (fibre, etc.), bugs, nutrients and digestive juices
  • A little bit of bloating now could turn into something more serious if it’s not dealt with promptly and effectively because the underlying cause might be quite dangerous in the long-run.
  • Watch the other videos in this series to learn simple tips to reduce bloating, and how to dig a little deeper to find the underlying cause.
