Wow, this is a tough area to try to cover on a single web page because there is so much information to discuss!
Before we begin, please also ensure that you read the page dedicated to explaining the Medical H Pylori Treatments as well.
I am walking proof that H pylori can be eradicated without antibiotics. I was personally able to eradicate my own H pylori infection using a completely natural protocol and I’ve helped countless hundreds of people achieve the same results.
Natural botanical (herbal) programmes can be just as effective, if not more so, than conventional treatments and they tend to cause much fewer side effects (if any). I am always disappointed to hear that doctors have actively warned people away from some of these excellent options.
However, it is very important for you to understand and acknowledge that if a natural programme is going to work for you, there are several essential issues for you to consider.
The Biggest Mistakes People Make With H Pylori Natural Treatment
I’d like to help you AVOID making the following mistakes if you choose a natural path to assist with your H pylori infection:
- Please choose supplements that are of high enough quality:
- There are many different mastic gum products, garlic extracts, DGL, probiotic, etc brands but not all are created with the same potency.
- This leads to people spending money on the RIGHT generic supplements, but the WRONG brands.
- Make sure that you take the correct dosage of the supplements:
- Supplement manufacturers are obliged by law to recommend very low doses on the supplement bottles. Therefore, if folk follow the dosing guidelines on the bottle, they do not take enough of the product to effectively eradicate H pylori.
- In other words, doses of 1-2 capsules per day are generally way too low and often need to be doubled, or even tripled in order to be effective against H pylori.
- Take the products for the correct length of time:
- With the exception of Matula Herbal Formula, natural protocols usually need to be followed for an absolute minimum of 60 days.
- If the protocols are only used for 2-4 weeks, they may inhibit H pylori to a degree, but as soon as the protocol is stopped, the H pylori bacteria proliferate again.
- Use combination and compound products, especially in difficult H pylori cases:
- There are many different strains of H pylori bacteria and not all strains are inhibited by a single product like, for example, Mastic Gum.
- When I designed the Stomach Cleanse protocols that are available in The H Pylori Diet book and in the Quick Fixes section of this website, I made sure that I used the best possible combination of products.
- 5. Make sure you know which products to take with food, and which ones without:
- Some products work best on an empty stomach, some work better when taken with food.
- Some people tolerate products better when they take them with food.
- Change your diet:
- At least 75% of you reading this information will benefit from eliminating key foods from your diet that are causing inflammation – just like H pylori does – and replacing them with healthier alternatives.
- H pylori may not even be causing your symptoms. Instead, the foods you are eating may be the reason you do not feel well.
- Inflammatory foods include cow’s milk, coffee, soy, sugar, gluten and others.
- Understand that you may also have parasites or Candida overgrowth in your digestive system:
- More than half the people we test have other bad bugs living in their digestive systems.
- These bad bugs may also be causing symptoms so, even if H pylori bacteria are eradicated, symptoms may remain.
Eating the Right H Pylori Diet
I highly recommend that you consider reading the H Pylori Diet either in pdf or paperback as it contains a comprehensive programme to help you not only deal with H pylori effectively, but to also heal your digestive tract.
Here is why eating the right foods is so important when you have H pylori:
- Eating common foods like milk, pasta and bread can actually CAUSE the same symptoms as H pylori, so even if you get rid of H pylori, your symptoms may not budge.
- I’ve seen all symptoms clear simply by changing the diet of my customers and clients. See the H Pylori Diet page for testimonials and learn how you can achieve the same results.
- Some foods have been shown to inhibit the growth of H pylori and can be introduced into your diet easily.
- Herbs and supplements that are used to help eradicate H pylori will not be as effective if your diet is not optimised. In fact, you may waste a lot of money on supplements that simply don’t work if dietary considerations are not addressed first.
- Because some foods cause inflammation in your intestines, you may not be able to eradicate H pylori until the inflammation has been reduced (this can only be done by cutting out the offending foods).
- If you don’t change your diet, you may not gain relief from your symptoms, even when H pylori has gone.
- If you have Candida as well as H pylori you must alter your diet otherwise the yeast and fungal organisms may be very hard to eradicate.

hi i was dignose h pylori is now a year and i have taking the triple treatment 3 times but no change i am really suffering my body is heavy my heard i am feeling heat all over it expecially when i eat papper or spice food pls help me come out from this illness thaks
My daughter is 6 weeks along and so sick and was diagnosed with H Polori. Please help me with any information I would greatly appreciate it.
Hi Angelica,
Thank you for your post.
The best piece of advice I can give you is to read my H Pylori Diet book.
I am sure your doctor will do a good job with the medical treatment of H pylori, but in my opinion it is always a good idea to educate yourself about other options, AND other possible reasons for your daughter’s symptoms.
Of course, there are many H pylori symptoms, but these symptoms can also have other causes, including gluten, cow’s milk, sugar, and other bad bugs in the gut such as Candida.
You can learn more about the book by clicking here.
I hope this helps.
Warm regards,

Hi I was diagnosed with hpylori when I was 18 im 21 now never took the antibiotics for it since ive heard they dont normally go away with anibiotics that are prescribed thinkinking about it (i actually did end up taking some but was given the wrong ones so i took those for nothing).I also have problems with my liver & strong meds in combination can mess up my liver even more, I dont want that.i want to get rid of this bacteria with a natural alternative that wont give me anymore problems thsn the ones I already have.q
Tannia,
H. pylori triple therapy has a global success rate of about 70% according to the research literature.
So 7 out of 10 people are successful when they use it to treat H. pylori and its symptoms.
BUT, if you have liver problems, it’s wise to support your liver when you take the antibiotics.
Do you use vitamins like A, C, E, D and B complex?
Do you use amino acids such as N-acetyl cysteine, glycine, calcium d-glucarate or taurine?
Have you tried herbs like milk thistle?
And how about foods like green cruciferous vegetables, berries, garlic and other liver-supportive foods.
If you haven’t tried these, it’s wise to introduce them, unless your liver problem is serious.
Have you been tested for Hepatitis? And how about liver parasites such as Entameba histolytica or liver fluke?
If you’d like help, let us know.
Best,
Dave Hompes.
Hi. I have h-pylori and I’m 16. I’ve had this for about 8 months now and it is killing me. I’m ALWAYS sick I ALWAYS feel extremely full I’m ALWAYS in pain I ALWAYS have no energy.. Even drinking small sips makes me feel like I’m going to throw up.. Sometimes my whole body feels bad. I can’t walk around much, I don’t sleep well but it’s hard to stay away, I’m immobilized at this point, I’m scared!! Please help me end this hell..
Hi Keeley,
This is a tricky situation – my initial recommendation is to work with an integrative medical practitioner to figure out what’s going on.
It’s very hard from your message to recommend a course of action because whilst H Pylori causes the symptoms you are experiencing, it is not the ONLY cause and there may be other factors that are contributing to the way you’re feeling.
In these situations, I find that education is the key. Have you considered reading any of my books? If not, I strongly recommend you take a look so that you become aware of all the possible reasons for your symptoms, over and above H. pylori infection.

Thanks for your comment. It is common for antibiotic H pylori treatment to be unsuccessful (statistics say it’s only effective 70% of the time).
If you are finding the treatment isn’t working, and your H pylori / H pylori-related symptoms are not going away, I recommend you seek an alternative approach.
Either ask your doctor for a different set of antibiotics (a different triple therapy combination, or quadruple or sequential therapy), OR, use a natural approach by altering your foods, and taking herbs and other natural substances to eradicate H. pylori.
In my book, The H Pylori Diet, I teach you exactly how to so this. It’s worth a look, and comes with a money back guarantee.
If you’re still struggling, why not set up a case review and 60min consultation with one of my practitioners? This is the fastest way to get answers and rejuvenate your health, for sure.
Best,
Dave
I just complete 14 day triple therapy for H Pylori and mild gastritis 10 days ago…unfortunately, I only took half the dose of Amoxicillin (in addition to Clarithomycin and Pantoprazole). My saving grace may be that I totally changed my diet about 3 weeks before this treatment….no wheat, corn, soy, caffeine, dairy, sugar and low carbs. I feel loads better and have lost 14 lbs….still on diet, probiotics, broccoli sprouts, coconut oil, yogurt, sauerkraut, green tea and oil of oregano occasionally. Won’t get tested for another month or so and am wondering if I should add Monolaurin and other stronger protocol now and assume I still have it or wait till I get tested and just stay on restricted diet with current natural deterrents. Any advice would be so helpful…thank you!
Hi Christine
Really well done on changing your diet – it’s something I recommend to everyone, and can make a huge difference.
Regarding your triple therapy, you will need to wait until your retest. Sometimes the treatment will not work if you don’t complete it.
However, sometimes it will 🙂
There’s really no way of knowing until you get tested.
Also, getting tested while you are taking things like monolaurin may mask an H pylori infection, so it’s wise to consider this.
If you need or would like help with this, check out the stool testing we use by clicking here.
Best,
Dave.
