Hi it’s Dave here, answering your frequently asked questions about H pylori.
I created this page to provide a simple, easy resource to answer your questions.
These are the questions that I’ve been asked most over the last seven years – ever since I first set up my website on H pylori.
You know, I’ve received and answered thousands of emails from folk around the world asking about H pylori symptoms, testing and treatments.
I’ve also worked with a couple of thousand on a one-to-one basis.
The most important advice I can give you is that your situation is unique and what works great for me might not work perfectly for you.
You have unique DNA, a unique diet, unique immune system, unique microbe balance in your gut and unique stressors in your life.
So while these videos and articles will help answer the more frequently asked questions about H pylori, they may not provide truly individualised answers that are relevant to your unique case.
I hope they help reduce some of the confusion for you, nevertheless.
If you have any additional questions, you can leave a comment on the form at the bottom of the page, or alternatively drop us an email at h.pylori@hompesmethod.com.
Don’t sit there in silence and feel there’s no help out there for you.
We care, and we’re here to lend an ear and assist however we can if you’d like some input on your unique situation.

How long after being in contact with h-pylori does the symptoms appear. My granddaughter was in a public swimming pool over the weekend and became ill, vomiting, upset stomach, diahera, etc. I felt the hotel was not properly cleaning the pool.
Hi there,
The symptoms can come on very quickly. Mine developed on the same day.
HOWEVER, public swimming pools pose a different risk.
Other microbes can get into the digestive system by swallowing pool water (and things like river/lake water, and even drinking water).
The include Giardia and Cryptosporidium
Your daughter should be checked for these, as well as H. pylori.
See the stool testing options here if your doctor does not comply.
Best,
Dave
